Windows & Doors in Southern California
Replacement windows, patio doors, and entry doors, including the stucco patch that follows an opening.
What changes the price
No dollar ranges on this page. A number without a site look is a guess. These are the factors the written estimate actually uses.
Count and size
A picture window and a bathroom awning are not the same unit. Each opening is listed.
Retrofit or full frame
Retrofit keeps the existing frame. Full frame opens the wall and usually means stucco or trim repair.
Glass and hardware
Low-E packages, tempered glass near doors, and the hardware finish are called out, not bundled as “standard.”
Stories and patch-back
Second-story access and the stucco or siding repair around the opening are part of the number.
When a repair is enough
A latch, a balance, or a sweep can be a repair. Fogged glass in an otherwise square frame is a conversation, not an automatic whole-house order.
When it is time to replace
Rot at the sill, a frame that is out of square, or a door that will not seal against the marine layer is a replacement. Retrofit and full-frame are priced as different jobs.
What the scope includes
- Measure and order the units named in the estimate
- Removal and haul-away of the old windows or doors
- Install, flash, and seal
- Stucco, trim, or drywall patch where the opening requires it
- Operation check on every unit before we leave
How the job moves
We measure each opening, check the sill, and look for soft stucco or a failed seal before anyone orders glass.
01
Tell us the project
Name, phone, ZIP, and the trade. You get a reference number. Sending the form does not book a visit.
02
Walk the house
A lead looks at the actual assembly: the roof, the wall, the shower, the yard. Photos and measurements, not a guess from the curb.
03
Write the scope
What is in, what is out, the material, and a schedule you can read. Allowances are labeled as allowances.
04
Build it, then walk it
The crew works the written scope. At the end you walk it with the lead before anyone calls the job done.
Questions on windows & doors
Will you patch the stucco?
If the install opens the stucco, the patch is in the scope. A color match on older color coat is called out as a match attempt, not a promise that a 20-year wall will disappear.
One window or the whole house?
Either. The estimate lists the openings you want done and leaves the rest alone.
Do you install entry doors?
Yes. Exterior doors, sliders, and French doors. Interior passage doors can ride along with a remodel. They are not a standalone service.
Can this be financed?
Homeowners can ask about payment options through a lending partner. Nextstar Connect is not the lender. Subject to credit approval. Terms vary. We do not publish rates.
