Landscape in Pasadena
Grading, drainage, hardscape, irrigation, and planting for outdoor rooms, not a bag of mulch and a hope.
Craftsman houses, tile roofs, and mature trees that drop debris into valleys and gutters. Historic details and older plaster change how a window or a bath gets opened up.
What changes the price
No dollar ranges on this page. A number without a site look is a guess. These are the factors the written estimate actually uses.
Drainage and grade
Moving water away from the house is often the first line, before the pretty part.
Hardscape
Concrete, pavers, decks, and walls are different structures. The estimate names the one you are getting.
Access
A backyard with no side-yard gate means material moves by hand. That is labor, and it is written down.
Irrigation and plants
A planting plan without water is a replacement plan. Both are scoped, or the plants are excluded.
When a repair is enough
A broken valve, a sunken paver, or a single irrigation zone can be fixed without rebuilding the yard.
When the yard needs a plan
Water against the foundation, a slope you cannot walk, or a patio that has heaved is a rebuild. Planting on top of a drainage problem is not a landscape.
What the scope includes
- Demo of what is coming out
- Grade and drainage called out in the plan
- Hardscape in the material named
- Irrigation where planting is included
- Planting, or a note that planting is excluded
- Haul-away and a broom-clean site
How the job moves
We watch where water sits after a hose test or a rain, and we note gates, slopes, and where a truck can actually park.
01
Tell us the project
Name, phone, ZIP, and the trade. You get a reference number. Sending the form does not book a visit.
02
Walk the house
A lead looks at the actual assembly: the roof, the wall, the shower, the yard. Photos and measurements, not a guess from the curb.
03
Write the scope
What is in, what is out, the material, and a schedule you can read. Allowances are labeled as allowances.
04
Build it, then walk it
The crew works the written scope. At the end you walk it with the lead before anyone calls the job done.
Questions on landscape
Do you design and build?
We scope and build. A simple layout can be drawn for the estimate. A full landscape architecture set, if you need one, is called out separately.
Can you just fix the drainage?
Yes. Drainage-only is a better job than planting into a swamp.
What about artificial turf?
It can be in the scope. Base prep and drainage still matter, and they are listed, not skipped because the surface is plastic.
Can this be financed?
Homeowners can ask about payment options through a lending partner. Nextstar Connect is not the lender. Subject to credit approval. Terms vary. We do not publish rates.
